Middle school locked down after loaded rifle magazine found

JAMES CITY COUNTY, Va. (WTVR)–Police in James City County are investigating after a loaded .17 caliber rifle magazine was found inside this middle school.

It put the school on lock-down for two hours Wednesday.

Police say a seventh grade boy brought the clip to school.

It was discovered on a classroom floor and a teacher called police.

No weapon was found and no charges have been filed at this time.
