RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) -- Less than 24 hours after a 6-year-old girl and an adult male were shot in Richmond's East End, children were back outside playing in that same spot Friday afternoon.
Neighbors said there was an argument on a basketball court that led to a fight Thursday afternoon where at least 20 gunshots were fired.
"I told everybody to get down...I was scared," said Venus Mangram who lives in the neighborhood.
Richmond police said the two shot suffered non-life threatening injuries.
Mangram lives across the way from the 6-year-old child. She told CBS 6 News' Chelsea Rarrick the child is a fun-loving girl who plays with her grandchildren.
CBS 6 went by the child's house Friday afternoon, but no one was home. We also went to the mother's work but she was not in.
