RICHMOND, VA (WTVR): A spectacular 35,000 gallon water stage awaits you at Cirque Italia at its temporary home in the parking lot of the old K-Mart Store on Midlothian Turnpike. It's a chance to experience a European traveling Circus. The 40-foot Broadway-style circular  stage is four feet high and  filled with water. The lid lifts up 35 feet in the air while a Curtain of Rain and Fountains dance with each performer's move.

The circus features two hours of seemingly impossible and unbelievable attractions that includes a Mermaid who swings from a center ring, Coco the Clown from Argentina who rides the world's smallest bicycle, a contortionist  atop an 8 foot coat rack and other talented performers from around the world.

Cirque Italia is under the White & Blue Big Top Tent at 6807 Midlothian Turnpike, K-Mart parking lot, Thursday, August 29 through  Saturday, September 8.
