(WTVR) — Many know that marriage is a lot of work, but unfortunately for some, it’s a lesson not learned until it’s too late.

In July, a newly divorced motivational speaker took to Facebook, sharing advice with others on things he would have done differently, according to The Huffington Post.

His public note on Facebook went viral, with more than 109,000 shares and more than 10,000 “likes” at last count.

Gerald Rogers shared advice such as “never stop courting and never stop dating.” He also told his followers to “protect your own heart” and “don’t be an idiot.”
