RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) -- Police are investigating a shooting that involved a child. It happened around Saturday night around 9:30 at a large party in the 1300 block of Coalter Street.

The four-year-old female was taken to VCU Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

Richmond police said Sunday that an arrest had been made and that the incident is being investigates as an accidental shooting.

On Monday police said that have charged Demond Brown, age 27, of the 2100 block of Mimosa Street, with one felony count of discharging a firearm within a building.
