PETERSBURG, Va. (WTVR)-- A first look at the car that may have been driven by the gunman who shot and killed a driver on Washington Street in Petersburg.

This is surveillance video that you'll see just on CBS 6.

The video shows, from two angles, the white pickup truck driven by 28-year-old Marcellous Land, just seconds before he crashed into the Petersburg hotel, the Broadway Inn.

Behind that truck, the video shows a silver-colored vehicle with large rims tailing Land’s truck. Police said they found that car in the city of Petersburg earlier today but they're still looking for the gunman.

Police and marshals found the suspect car Thursday afternoon behind a home in the Magnolia Farm neighborhood.

Police say they don't believe Land was the intended target. It's an emotional case for Land's grieving family. His son Marcellus Land Jr. was born on Mother's Day. His baby's mother told CBS 6 that the hard working Army veteran had a whole lot of live left to give.

She said that Marcellus had left work early that day to spend time with his son.
