Louisa County (WTVR) – The man accused of sexually abusing a 10-year-old girl in Louisa says he didn’t do it. Joe Leake has plead not guilty to the charges against him.

During his arraignment Wednesday morning a judge set a November trial date for Leake.

Investigators said Leake was a “family acquaintance” of the child. Sheriff’s deputies say Leake told the girl’s mother he was taking her shopping last March, but that instead he took the child home and molested her.

Leake is charged with abduction, object sexual penetration, aggravated sexual battery, indecent liberties by custodian and forcible sodomy.
