GOOCHLAND, Va. (WTVR) — A vehicle fire slowed traffic on I-64 eastbound in Goochland County Friday afternoon.

VDOT said the left lane of I-64 east at mile marker 171 was closed around 5:50 p.m.

The lane reopened around 6:10, but there was still a four-mile backup at that time.

VDOT told drivers to use I-295 or Route  250 (Broad St.) as alternate routes.
