Family of elderly woman missing over a month offer reward
LUNENBURG COUNTY, Va (WTVR) – It’s more than four weeks since family members have seen 73-year-old Virginia Edmonds.
Rodney Edmonds, the son of Virginia, said his mother disappeared on the night of June 28, after she left the house for the third time that day. Rodney told CBS 6 that it was normal for his mother to occasionally leave the house to run errands.
Virginia Edmonds and her 1999 Oldsmobile Alero with the license plate number XYR-2048 have still not been found.
The family and friends have held fundraisers to generate enough money for a reward in hopes that someone may be more willing to come forward with any information that could help locate Virginia.
On Sunday, 28th, a gospel benefit was held in her honor. Concerned families from neighboring counties and afar joined to donate to the cause.
If you have any information about Virginia Edmonds please contact Lunenburg County Sheriff’s Office at 434-696-4452.
Investigators said Edmonds is 5’5″ and weighs about 120 lbs. She was last seen wearing a Members Only style black jacket and black shoes. She has a surgery scar on her chest.
