RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) - Another day at the Redskins training camp means another day for fans to cheer for the team.  With the massive crowds, some fans said it was hard to find a parking spot near the facility, while others found a spot just around the corner.

Redskins fan Thed Matthews said he got a head start on finding a parking space.

"I started out early, so I found something within a block radius."

Others managed to snag a spot on the street.

"We thought it would be easier to kind of get in and get out if we park on one of the side streets, as opposed to going to one of the major lots," Katy Zeller said.

There are official lots for $5 or pay what you want, but some fans say there's still not enough parking to accommodate everyone.

"It looks like it's not much of a parking area around here at all," Redskins fan Anthony Ray said.

CBS 6's Sandra Jones found an empty lot behind the Diamond, about a half mile from the training camp.

There were also empty spaces at City Stadium.  They have a shuttle going back and forth from the training camp.

City spokesperson Mike Wallace tells CBS 6 that they have been working to notify the public all about the parking options through social media, Richmondgov.com and the Redskins website.  Click here to find the official parking lots.

The city is asking people to do so because they are expecting more people for next Saturday's Fan Appreciation Day.
