HARRISON, Ark. (KSPR) – A man attempting to break into an Arkansas pawn shop through the chimney got stuck and had to be rescued by firefighters. The chimney was sealed off.
“I thought a bird or animal was probably in there, so I wanted to go up and check, and when I got up there, it was a person looking up at me,” store owner Ernest Raney said. “I asked him what he was doing down there, and why he was trying to break into the building, and he got real violent at that time.”
Police charged the man with several crimes including resisting arrest. Even though he was surrounded by police, firefighters and EMS, he apparently tried to get away when they pulled him out of the chimney.
