HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) - Henrico police said no foul play is suspected after a decomposing body was found in the woods near Staples Mill Road and Glenside Drive Friday afternoon.

Police said the body, discovered about 2 p.m., appeared to be that of an adult, but that because of decomposition, no further description was available.

Investigators are looking into missing person cases as a result of the discovery.

Henrico detectives and the State Medical Examiner’s Office are working to identify the body and determine a cause of death.
