CHARLOTTE, NC (WTVR) -- Passengers on a US Airways flight were grounded for hours after a swarm of bees just would not leave.
The flight to Indianapolis was expected to take off from Charlotte Douglas International Airport at 1:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
However, when bees swarmed inside the vehicle that pulls the airplane back from the gate, the plane was stuck. Passengers were also kept on board as a precaution since some were allergic to the insects.
A beekeeper managed to round-up the swarm and the plane finally took off around 4 p.m.
