POWHATAN COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) - The man who beat and robbed a teacher was sentenced to life plus 85 years in prison Monday. In December, James Lee Wolfe pleaded guilty to Malicious Wounding, Robbery, Arson and Abduction in connection to the attack.

In January 2012, Wolfe broke into Mary Anderson’s Powhatan home, beat her up, took her to an ATM and forced her to withdraw $400. He also set her home on fire.

Following the attack, Wolfe dumped Anderson on the side of Midlothian Turnpike. She had head injuries, a broken arm and cuts and bruises.
