MARION, Va. (WTVR)--A former Virginia police chief was caught on video in a compromising position.

Investigators say the man seen doing drugs in the video used to head the Marion Police Department, in Southwest Virginia.

In the video, it appears Michael Roberts is pulling a green plate and a spoon out of the cabinet and sitting down at the table.

He then crushes up pills for himself, before snorting the drugs while a hidden camera records everything.

Roberts was fired after he was accused of stealing drugs from the evidence locker to sell to friends.

He has since plead guilty to those charges.
