Posted

RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) – Richmond fire investigators are working to determine what started a house fire along the 8700 block of Old Spring Rd. in South Richmond Friday afternoon. The home sits between Cherokee Rd. and the James River.

Richmond Fire Lt. Robbie Hagaman said crews arrived soon after the fire call was made at 12:45 p.m. When crews arrived they saw smoke and flames shooting out of the garage. The fire caused pressurized canisters in the garage to explode.

Everyone who was inside the home made it out alive. No firefighters were injured.
