RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) — Richmond police are investigating two different shooting scenes in the city of Richmond.

CBS 6’s Jon Burkett tells us one of the shootings happened just after 10 p.m. Friday in the city’s Southside.

Police say a shooting happened in the 1800 block of Albany Street.  They report that the victim ran to the 1700 block of Maury Street, where they found a man shot once in the arm and twice in the back.

They are canvassing the area looking for anyone who may have witnessed what happened.

His injuries are non-life threatening and he is currently at VCU Medical Center.

Richmond Police also tell Jon Burkett that they have another shooting scene in the city’s North Side. Investigators say a man was driven to VCU Medical Center by friends after being shot near the intersection of Barton Avenue and E. Brookland Park Boulevard. They also believe there may be a second victim.

Investigators do not believe the two shooting scenes are connected.

Anyone with information on either of these incidents should call Crime Stoppers at 780-1000.
