VCU gets grant to help stop smoking desire

RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) — If you’re having a hard time kicking your smoking habit, VCU may soon be able to help.

The university was awarded a $482,000 grant to study treatments that will help smokers, quit.

The goal is to test a compound that could reduce your  desire to smoke.

VCU researchers will collaborate with the University of Pittsburgh to develop the project.
