(WTVR) - A Hofstra University student was killed on the last day of exams.

Police say it happened during a botched armed robbery early Friday morning in a Long Island home.

The victim was identified as 21-year-old Andrea Rebello.

According to police, Rebello's twin sister and two other friends were in the house at the time of the break in but were not injured.

Officials say the suspect was wearing a ski mask and entered the home with a handgun.

The suspect was later killed during a shootout, but it's still unclear who killed Rebello.
