CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) – A Chesterfield high school student was charged with possession of a weapon on school property after police found a 3.5-inch blade on him, according to Chesterfield Police.

Police said they found the knife on Ryan Beasley, 18, while they searched him during an arrest for another crime. Police did not go into further detail about the crime.

Police said Beasley, a student at Matoaca High School, never took the knife out at school and never threaten anyone with it.
