CAROLINE COUNTY, Va. (WTVR)–County officials respond to burial of Boston bombing suspect in Muslim Cemetery in Caroline County.

In a press release distributed to the media, the County Administrator’s Office said they were not apprised of the planned burial for deceased Boston bombing suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev at the Muslim cemetery on Sadie Lane in Caroline County–they learned through the media.

“Caroline County was not consulted or given any input into the decision-making process for determining a burial site for this individual,” said County Administrator Charles M. Culley, Jr. in a release.

“We would much prefer to be associated with positive news reports from the national media, but unfortunately had no say in the matter.”

The Chairman of the Board of Supervisors, Mr. Floyd Thomas and the Sheriff of Caroline County, will be hold a press conference this afternoon. CBS 6 will stream this event.
