ISSAQUAH, Wash. — Parents at a Washington state high school are outraged after finding out about an online tournament where boys vote on whether their female classmates are sexy or not.

Fox News reports that male students at Issaquah High School encouraged girls to “look their finest,” during voting, which is a being labeled“May Madness.”

The contest has been held for the past five years, and is being held by a local sports radio station that ranks models and celebrities. According to King5.com, school officials have not been able to put an end to the contest because it isn’t being held on school grounds.

The “hotness tournament” was shut down for a brief period of time last year when parents told authorities they found vulgar and profane comments under people’s identities.

School officials are monitoring the site, however access to the website has become more difficult this year, King5.com reported.

“These are pretty smart folks behind this,” said District spokeswoman Sarah Niegowski. “They know their First Amendment rights. They’re very quiet about who it is and the group behind it.”
