Update: Police identify woman killed in fatal accident in Chesterfield

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) - A woman was killed after she drove the wrong way down Chippenham Parkway (Route 150) and hit another car head on, according to Virginia State Police spokesman Sgt. Tom Molnar.

Molnar said the woman driving a 1991 Buick was traveling south in the northbound lanes near Strathmore Road in Chesterfield County when she struck a 2002 Nissan Altima.

The woman driving the Buick died and has been identified as Drema McCauley, 70.

A woman in the Buick suffered "minor injuries," Molnar said. The driver of the Nissan suffered "serious" injures.

The accident happened around 1:44 Saturday morning. All northbound lanes of Route 150 were closed after the accident, but have since reopened.

Sgt. Molnar tells us the investigation is on going.
