Virginia Tech survivor creates app to help others

Posted

BLACKSBURG, Va. (WTVR) - A Virginia Tech shooting survivor is hoping she can help others through technology. Kristina Anderson developed a free app called LiveSafe.

It allows law enforcement to quickly communicate with students through a device located on the officer's dashboard.

Anderson was shot twice in the back and once in the foot when a gunman opened fire on the Virginia Tech campus six years ago.

The app is already being used on some college campuses.
