Fourth man arrested after students drown

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) – Police arrested a fourth man in connection to the drowning deaths of two Virginia State University students. Charles E. Zollicoffer II is charged with hazing, according to Chesterfield Police.

Police said Zollicoffer is part of an organization known as Men of Honor. The group, which is not sanctioned by VSU, was initiating seven students into the organization on April 20, police said.

Part of the  initiation was to walk across the Appomattox River.

Police said two students, Marvell Edmondson, 19, and Jauwan M. Holmes, 19, were swept away in the river and drown.

Zollicoffer, along with James A. Mackey Sr., Eriq K. Benson and Cory D. Baytop are all charged with hazing.
