Richmond fire crews investigate cause of early morning flames

RICHMOND, Va (WTVR) - Richmond fire crews are trying to figure out what caused an early morning apartment fire at the 2900 block of Park Avenue.

Richmond Fire Lieutenant Shawn Jones said crews were called around 12:16 a.m. Thursday. Jones said crews got on scene within three minutes and found fire on the third-floor balcony.

The fire was marked under control in 12 minutes, Jones said. Everyone inside the apartment building made out safely.

There are no injuries reported.
