HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) – A Burger King in Henrico’s East End will be closed for a few days due to fire damage.

Fire officials responded to a report of smoke filling the restaurant, located in the 3700 block of Mechanicsville Turnpike.

They received the call just before 9:30 p.m.

When officials arrived on scene, they saw smoke coming from the building and evacuated employees.

After searching for the source, crews discovered a fire within the wall.  Crews also say the fire extended to the roof.

According to Captain Mellon, it took crews 25 minutes to bring the situation under control.

No injuries were reported.

Henrico Fire is trying to determine how the fire started.
