RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) – The Department of Public Utilities has shutdown water in parts of Richmond due to a water main break.

The break is on Munford Street, one block west of N. Belvidere.

The department turned off water along West Broad Street between the 700 and 1100 blocks.

The city said the shutdown will impact “many restaurants, VCU facility buildings and student apartments in this area.”

The city said the shutdown will last at least five hours and may impact rush hour traffic near Belvidere and West Broad.
