RICHMOND Va. (WTVR) -- Richmond police are asking for the public's help to find a man who tried to abduct a teenage girl in the city Thursday morning.

The incident happened around 11 a.m. in the 2500 block of Semmes Avenue, police said.

Police released surveillance video of the suspect, who is described as a light-skinned black male in his 30s with green eyes, about 5 feet 10 inches tall with a medium build. The suspect is bald with no facial hair and was wearing blue jeans and a black T-shirt. He was also carrying a white construction-type helmet and wearing a backpack.

Detectives think the suspect may work or live in the area.
