(WTVR) – If you suffer from seasonal allergies, you may want to watch what you eat too. Some allergy sufferers may have their symptoms worsened by fresh fruits, vegetables and nuts.

Doctors say the foods contain proteins that are similar in nature to pollens.

It’s called oral allergy syndrome. Symptoms include itchy eyes and and tingling of the lips, mouth and throat.

About one in three allergy sufferers get it.
