Former Ashland Little League president arrested
ASHLAND, Va. (WTVR)–The former president of the Ashland Little League has been arrested.
Ashland police tell CBS 6 that Lynn Newell turned herself in to the magistrate’s office. She is now charged with two counts of embezzlement, and two counts of forgery.
Newell is accused of taking money from the Ashland Little League, and has been released on a $2,000 bond.
A letter was sent to families of those in the league.
