Police said the bus was bringing students to Hampton University's Open House Day.
Police said six other passengers were students ranging from the ages of 13 to 17 have all been examined and have suffered no injuries.
The owner of the bus, Horizon Coach Lines, is based out of Seattle, Washington. The driver, Larry Brocks, age 62, of Raleigh, NC, has been charged with reckless driving, police said.
