City shooting leaves man seriously injured

RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR)—Richmond Police are investigating a likely drive-by shooting in the city, near the jail.

Police told CBS 6 that just after 7 p.m., a man was struck by gunfire three times, in his car, in the 1700 block of Fairfield Way.

He drove himself to the 2300 block of Ambrose Street. He was shot in his car but won’t tell police any more at this time.

Police said that he was taken to VCU Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.

At this time police have no suspect information.
