Furloughs force workers to stay home in Herndon

(WTVR) – Forced spending cuts are having a major effect on the nation.  Even businesses in the D.C. area are feeling the economical woes.

Businesses owners in Herndon are facing furloughs that are forcing workers to stay home during the week, causing them to lose a large chunk of their income.

A professor at George Mason University estimates the region could lose four to five billion dollars this year.
