RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) - As spring approaches, the season will bring plenty of wedding and prom events.

Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles wants to make sure that people are making a safe decision when they reserve a limo.

On their website, has posted a searchable database of licensed and registered transportation companies to find one that works for you.

The site also offers some questions to ask companies before making a final reservation.

If you had a bad experience with a company, you can contact the Attorney General's consumer protection hotline at (804) 789-2042 and file a complaint.
