NELLYSFORD, Va. (WTVR) – Virginia soldiers and state police worked together to clear an abandoned truck from Route 664 near Nellysford, according to the Virginia Guard.
The soldiers, from the Charlottesville-based Company C, 429th Brigade Support Battalion, 116th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, are among the 200 personnel called to active duty to help following Wednesday’s snow.
In addition to helping police clear the roads of vehicles, the soldiers used chain saws to help police clear fallen trees too.
