Police: ‘Shots fired’ closes I-85 south in Dinwiddie

DINWIDDIE COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) – A ‘shots fired’ situation involving a Virginia State Trooper has I-85 south closed at mile marker 45 in Dinwiddie, according to Virginia State Police spokeswoman Deborah Cox.

Police have not yet released details about the situation.

Traffic is currently backed up two miles.

Drivers are encouraged to use Route 1 south (enter at exit 48).
