RANCHO CORDOVA, Calif. (KOVR) — Two dogs are in critical condition after being found in a burning mobile home.

Neighbors knew the owners of the home weren’t there at the time, but told firefighters when they arrived that the dogs, named Paris and Bella, were trapped inside.

Getting to the dogs was almost impossible because the fire was so intense, according to firefighters. But they finally were able to pull the animals out.

Witnesses said they performed CPR on the dogs for more than an hour.

Everyone almost accepted the dogs died, until they saw a sign of life, when their paws started to move.

They were rushed to a veterinarian, but the dogs are in critical condition.

The fire is still under investigation.
