STUDY: Spend less time sitting, more time moving
(CBS News) — Getting up and moving around may be even more important than exercising when it comes to lowering your risk of type 2 diabetes.
Researchers in Great Britain found that sedentary time, time spent sitting or lying down, was associated with several diabetes risk factors.
They said patients should reduce sitting time for a total of 90 minutes a day, rather than simply exercising regularly.
