RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR)--Richmond Fire Department battled a blaze from the second floor of a two-story residence on Monday evening.
Neighbors called to report fire coming from the roof, in the 1400 block of Rogers Street, off Mechanicsville Turnpike.
Lt. Hagaman, with Richmond Fire, said crews arrived on scene around 10:35 p.m., and found heavy fire coming from the second floor.
Hagaman said the fire is still under investigation. Although it was mostly extinguished by 11 p.m., Hagaman said it is unknown if anyone was inside.
It was a one-alarm fire, with extra crews called in for support.
