Alabama Shakes gaining more fame, rock SNL

Many people had never heard of the group Alabama Shakes until the Grammy Awards. You can’t say that about Richmond though, as the group rocked out for a huge audience at Friday Cheers in 2012.

Even though the group did not win any of their three nominations, they did win approval on this past Saturday’s Saturday Night Live.

Shakes is made up of Brittany Howard, Heath Fogg, Zac Cockrell and Steve Johnson.
