RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) - The Richmond Police Department is investigating a fatal single-vehicle accident that left two men dead.
Police tell us at approximately 11:20 p.m. a vehicle traveling eastbound in the 5100 block of Cary Street Road left the roadway towards the right and struck several trees. The vehicle spun and came to rest in the middle of the road.
The two passengers, both males, died at the scene. The Richmond Police Department has identified the two victims as Nathaniel Daigle, 26, and Joel Forshaw, 25.
Public Information Officer James Mercante said police believe speed was a factor in this accident. At this time it is unknown if alcohol or anything else was a factor.
The investigation is continuing.
