HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) -- Henrico Police said a man was hit by an SUV as he walked down Harvie Rd. towards Mechanicsville Turnpike.
The man was then carried on the hood of the vehicle for 55 to 60 feet, until he fell off.
Police said the victim was rushed to VCU Medical Center where he is believed to have life-threatening injuries.
Henrico Police are still investigating the cause of the accident. Roads that were previously closed in the area are now open.
