INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (WTVR) -- Police have released audio from the first responders on the scene of a 40-car pileup that killed one person outside of Indianapolis.

The chain reaction injured ten and left dozens of drivers stuck in their car for hours.

The chaotic scene had first responders double checking the area to make sure they didn't miss anyone still stuck in their vehicle.

State police said the crash was a result of high winds and bursts of snow that limited visibility.
