(WTVR) – Super Bowl excitement is sweeping the nation, but it’s not all focused on who will take home the Lombardi Trophy. To the casual fan, there may be nothing more exciting about Super Bowl Sunday than the commercials.

Many have already started popping up online, like this Audi commercial or this Mercedes-Benz teaser featuring Kate Upton.

There is one commercial, however, that you won’t see on Sunday. It belongs to Pornhub, an adult video streaming service.

That’s because CBS has rejected the 20 second advertisement.

The contents of the ad are not offensive to anyone, unless old people scare you, so it might be safe to assume that CBS made the decision to reject the ad based on the company alone.

You can watch the ad here:

However, before you go blaming CBS for blocking what appears to be a well-intentioned G-rated spot, consider the following:

Super Bowl spots are sold in 30-second increments. This year, those half-minute spots went for a hefty average of $3.8 million, although one advertiser spent more than $4 million. Pornhub’s ad is 20-seconds long. There’s also the fact that CBS has a standing policy to not advertise pornography, so Pornhub should have expected the denial.

Simply put, it seems the pornographic website decided the best market technique was to promote their “banned” spot.

Pornhub is even asking users to vote on whether or not they believe the tame ad should air or not.

So what do you think about the ad?
