LILBURN, Ga. (WTVR) - Georgia police arrested a man accused of shooting of a 22-year-old driver who pulled into his driveway.
According to a report on WSB tv.com a group of friends said they were going to pick up a friend when their GPS sent them to the wrong home.
The passengers said when they pulled into the driveway, they saw 69-year-old Phillip Sailors look out a window of the home. Later they said Sailors came out of the house with a gun.
“The guy came out. He went in again and he came out with a gun in his hand and he shot into the air,” 15-year-old passenger Yeson Jimenez said.
When the passengers tried to drive off, they said Sailors pointed the gun at the car and shot the driver -- 22-year-old Rodrigo Diaz.
The friends said Sailors held them in the car at gunpoint until police arrived. Sailors, who has no known criminal history, is being held on no bond on charges of malice murder.
Sailors' attorney told WSB the man believed he and his wife were about to be the victims of a home invasion.
