RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) - Major roads across Central Virginia are cleared of snow and ice, the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) reported Saturday morning. The state agency said crews and contractors "made good progress plowing and treating major routes overnight."

VDOT warned many neighborhood streets and rural roads remain covered in snow and could be slick.
