RICHMOND, Va (WTVR) - Winter weather and snow are expected to hit our area later this afternoon. This will most likely affect the evening commute. Crews will probably be out on the secondaries but the cold weather and possible slick weather could halt construction along the interstates during the daytime hours. Construction has been canceled on 95 at Boulevard today and this evening.

I will be in this afternoon monitoring conditions and providing live traffic reports beginning at 5pm. Please prepare for slick roads starting as early as 4pm and try to head home early or use caution.
