RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) – Vice president Joe Biden will hold a roundtable discussion about guns Friday at Virginia Commonwealth University. The focus of the talk is the Obama administration’s effort to reduce gun violence.
Biden will be joined by Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano, Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius, Deputy U.S. Attorney General Jim Cole, Senator Tim Kaine and Congressman Bobby Scott.
The event will take place in the VCU Student Commons on Floyd Avenue at 11:00 a.m.
President Obama tapped Biden to head the gun violence task force in the wake of the Newtown, Connecticut school shootings.
