RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) – With deep, dry, cold air from the Arctic firmly entrenched in our region (and up to our north and northwest), we experienced our coldest morning in central Virginia since January 2011. The preliminary low temperature at Richmond International Airport (RIC) is 15 degrees, which beats our previous recent cold temperature from January 4, 2012 of 17 degrees. January 22 through 24 in 2011 were a trio of teen temperatures for RIC (14 degrees, 11 degrees and 16 degrees, respectively).
